A plain woven fabric with a small pattern and iridescent color that looks like the hairs of a squirrel's tail. This type of weaving technique is made by using special weft threads to weave a piece of cloth. It must use 2 silk threads of 2 colors, twisted together until it becomes a single line, called Luk Lai line, Luk Lai silk or Squirrel's tail line. Squirrel tail fabric requires the skill and expertise of the twister to create the desired frequency or spacing of the silk threads.
